Coaching Supervison: Through a Vertical Lens

Rather than focusing on the ‘what’ we focus on the ‘how’

Our group supervision is designed for those who know that lasting transformation isn’t only learning new tools—it’s about fundamentally changing how we see ourselves, our ‘thinkers’, and the coaching process itself.

 This isn’t ‘traditional’ supervision. We work through the lens of vertical development: the idea that true growth isn’t just about doing more, but about seeing with new eyes. We’ll help you notice the stories, patterns, and assumptions that shape how you show up, so you can bring a richer, more expansive presence to your thinkers.

  • What Makes Vertical Different?

    You may be used to reflecting on your coaching style, skills, and the models/ techniques you use.

    Vertical development asks something else of us:

    How are you making sense of the world, and what might happen if you could shift that perspective?

    In other words, it’s about expanding our awareness, understanding and how we are making meaning - and all in the name of growth.

    When we notice our current worldviews, beliefs, assumptions, and ways of being in the world no longer make sense or is of service, we can be confronted with asking ourselves some existential questions to make sense of what is happening within us and the world we operate.

    Have you noticed?

    That there seems to be a gap between who you thought you were and who you are becoming. This can raise challenging thoughts and emotions and it is in-midst of these emotions that people can seek help - this is where we fit in.

    In these sessions, you can expect:

    - A deeper inquiry into how you relate to uncertainty, complexity, and difference.

    - More attention paid to the invisible “operating system” inside us—the beliefs and habits that drive our choices.

    - An invitation to experiment with new ways of relating to yourself and your coachee’s, providing you with support every step of the way.

    You’re not doing this alone. Our small group is a space for honest reflection, challenge, and encouragement, led by two experienced coaches in the profession and with Vertical Development. This is crucial in order to provide clarity and depth.

    Sustained Growth:

    Over twelve months, you’ll have time to reflect, integrate, and see your growth in action.

  • How It Works

    12 Months:

    A year-long commitment to your own development.

    10 Sessions:

    We’ll meet for 3 hours virtually, with a maximum group size of 6 people, allowing the space to hear from everyone.

    Times and dates will be collectively agreed once we have formed a group.

    Co-Facilitated:

    Each session is co-facilitated by the same individuals, Amanda and Sylvie. We are both ICF PCC-credentialed coaches and accredited Vertical Development Practitioners with Harthill Development.

    We bring a wealth of experience and different energy and perspectives to the group.

    Investment:

    - £1,295 + VAT per year.

    - This can be paid in instalments - just ask.

You’ll leave this programme with more than new techniques; you’ll gain a grounded, insightful way of seeing yourself, your coachees, and your practice — one attuned to the complexities of modern coaching. Through vertical development, you’ll grow from the inside out, becoming more of who you truly are as you support others to do the same.

Amanda brings 26+ years leading groups, 14+ years in the formal coaching arena and 11+ years’ experience in the vertical field.

She is known for creating safe, inclusive spaces where real transformation can happen—her work is all about re-connecting you to you while championing your gifts as a coach while inviting us all to explore our ‘leading’ and ‘trailing’ edges.

Sylvie brings 21+ years leading groups, 15+ years in the formal coaching arena and 11+ years' experience in the vertical field.

She likes to create a space where you can broaden your perspectives, renew your meaning-making, and explore new dimensions of your identity as a coach. Together, we’ll cultivate creative approaches that enrich both your coaching practice and your interventions, allowing you to evolve and grow in your professional journey.
